The penultimate episode of season 1 sees Nucky become increasingly isolated in his position of ruler of all things in Atlantic City as he argues with both Margaret and his brother Eli. Competitor Arnold Rothstein has been called to Chicago to answer to the charges that he helped rig the 1919 World Series and Jimmy has some worrying family troubles with his dad dying and his fiance almost leaving him; it’s another whirlwind week for the people of the boardwalk and lets not forget an election is coming up and with his corruption-accused Eli as sheriff, Nucky’s not too sure he’ll win.
